Gallery - Reinstatement of railings to listed Georgian town house
The reinstatement of the railings received a Commendation in the local Civic Trust Awards
The newly reinstated railings really do complete the look of this elegant building. The Conservation Officer allowed us to add hinged access panels to each run of railings to facilitate access for window cleaning. Other details are much more authentic, such as the square collars at the base of each railing and the stanchions to the rear that provide rigidity and strength. The railings were nominated for a local Civic Trust Award and received a Commendation in the Best Restoration category.
